Paste Google Sheets cells into Slack

Cells copied from Google Sheets often break in Slack as soon as one contains a line break or a merged cell. TableToSlack reads the rich clipboard content and produces a clean table, without any add-on or permission.

    Google Sheets to Slack: FAQ

Do I need a Google Sheets add-on or Slack app?

No. No add-on, no Slack app, no Google permission: everything happens through your clipboard.

What about cells with line breaks?

They are kept: Slack shows the cell on several lines. Uncheck “Keep line breaks in cells” to get single-line cells.

How do I make a table in Slack?

Slack displays a table when you paste tab-separated values (TSV), the format spreadsheets put in the clipboard. Paste your data in TableToSlack, click “Copy for Slack” and paste in your message: Slack shows a proper table.

Why does my Markdown or CSV table look broken in Slack?

Slack does not support Markdown tables, and pasted CSV stays plain text. Only tab-separated content becomes a table. TableToSlack converts your table to that format.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. All the conversion happens in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the site has no analytics.
