Generate clean TSV for Slack
Tab-separated values are the format Slack understands for tables. But a single tab or unquoted line break inside a cell breaks everything. TableToSlack produces clean, rectangular TSV that pastes as a table every time.
Your table will appear here, just like in Slack.
How to convert TSV for Slack
- Paste any table, in any format.
- TableToSlack removes tabs inside cells, quotes multi-line cells and pads short rows.
- Copy the TSV or download it as a .tsv file.

What is TSV?
Tab-separated values: one line per row, cells separated by a tab character. It is what spreadsheets put in the clipboard when you copy cells.
Why not just type tabs in Slack?
Pressing Tab in Slack moves the focus instead of inserting a tab, so a table has to be pasted.
How do I make a table in Slack?
Slack displays a table when you paste tab-separated values (TSV), the format spreadsheets put in the clipboard. Paste your data in TableToSlack, click “Copy for Slack” and paste in your message: Slack shows a proper table.
Why does my Markdown or CSV table look broken in Slack?
Slack does not support Markdown tables, and pasted CSV stays plain text. Only tab-separated content becomes a table. TableToSlack converts your table to that format.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. All the conversion happens in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and the site has no analytics.
